Fertilizer is not plant food even though that's often stated on the packaging. Fertilizers are concentrations of elements which, when added to the soil or water, are then available for plants to use and make their own food. When to fertilize, with what and how are commons questions. It is important to look at the overall scheme of things in order to make the proper decisions on these questions.

Lawn Care The lawn care program consists of seven treatments throughout the year to control weeds and make your lawn greener, healthier and thicker. Each treatment plan is custom designed for your landscape.
Ornamental Tree & Shrub Care The ornamental tree and shrub program consists of seven treatments throughout the year to protect them from insect damage and disease, make them more resistant to drought, and give them a better look and stronger color.
Outdoor Pest Control Our Outdoor Pest Control takes care of many different types of bugs and insects. We'll spray your yard to keep fire ants, ticks, fleas and spiders at bay. Free with our Gold & Platinum Programs.
Aeration Aeration removes plugs of soil, allowing water, nutrients and air to get down to the roots. The result will be a thicker, healthier lawn. While Bermuda and Zoysia grasses will particularly benefit from Aeration, all lawn types can thrive as a result of this service.
Aeration & Overseeding We recommend this service for fescue lawns only. It is done from September through November. "Overseeding" is laying seed down over the existing lawn to help it grow thicker.
Fungicide Treatment Brown patch and dollar spot are common, easily identified fungal diseases. We can treat your lawn with a fungicide during the warm season (April-September) so these diseases don't become a problem for you.
Fire Ant Control We use a single application of TopChoice™ by Bayer for 12-month control of fire ants. It also has a short-term effect (30-45 days) on fleas, ticks and crickets.
Grassy Weed Treatment These additional treatments are primarily for nutsedge and clump grass.

Weed control

Not all weeds are the same! Jefferson are known for broadleaf weeds and crabgrass but we also have grassy weed, nutsedge and dumpgrass. If plagued with less common weeds specific treatment plans can be arranged. Curvature Landscapes & Design Inc will assess your property and make a plan for caring for all your plants or just your lawn depending on your individual needs.

The yearly cycle includes a balanced approach of pre-emergent treatments, weed control and fertilizing. Each plan is specially designed for each lawn and is perfect for all lawn types in Jefferson including Fescue, Bermuda and all types of Zoysia lawns.
